Evander Holyfield is returning to the ring after a 21 month layoff. His 2 - 5 -1 record is enough to make us scream for his retirement. There is no need for him to get back into the ring, he is not going to win another championship, his pending victory against a journeyman fighter in Jeremy Bates will not impress anyone and most importantly he still has his health and millions in the bank. We have seen too many times, fighters taking that extra fight because they think they still have it and end up getting their butt kicked. Ali, Tyson, Roy Jones etc. all did not want to believe that the end was here and all of them left hurt, beaten and almost carried out on a stretcher instead of on the shoulders of their fans. I have no interest in this fight and I hope the rest of the media agrees. Yes, I am the media.
